Founding and Early Beginnings
Founded in 1987 as "Puran Brothers Disposal Services," the company was established by three brothers who pooled their resources to launch a waste disposal service.
Early Partnership with Georgetown City Council
At the time, the Georgetown Mayor and City Council privatized garbage collection in and around the city. Puran Brothers Disposal Service quickly identified this opportunity and became one of the first companies contracted to handle waste management services for the Council.
Initial Operations and Impact
Starting with a small fleet of tractors and trailers, followed by lorries, our service quickly made a significant impact on solid waste management in the Georgetown area, setting a high standard for quality and efficiency.
Expansion and Growth
Due to the consistently high quality of our service, the Mayor and City Council awarded us multiple new contracts to cover additional areas within the city. In response to this growth, we acquired our first set of Garbage Compactor Vehicles in 1996, further enhancing our capabilities.

Today, we are proud to be the largest solid waste contractor in Guyana, operating across six of the country's ten regions. Our nationwide presence enables us to provide effective and reliable waste management services.
